Because we love the Lord
Kamusta ang pamilya ko!
We had another great week in Darasa! We just had zone training meeting and zone interviews this week too. I sure love my president. Our new focus in our mission is working with the members. We will being going around to all the families in the word and showing them the work of salvation video. And then practice teaching with them the How to invite their friends. That is where our mission has seen the most success. Through working with the members. President said that our mission in the Philippines is one of the top baptizing missions. We are excited to take a new look and have a new focus. I am giving the workshop this week in our meeting and President is coming! Haha, no pressure....
We have began to teach the Orlina pamilya. There are 10 ppl in their family and they have baptismal dates! All except the father! We are so blessed to find and teach a whole family. They are so humble and receptive to our message. We taught them how to pray. Then the daughter Rae gave the closing prayer. As we all knelt together on their humble ground the spirit swarmed into the room. She began to cry unto her Father in heaven. THe room was touched with the spirit of heaven. They have many trails in their life. Heavenly Father prepared them to hear the message of the restoration. The family is so connected to heaven. The nanay said, i can not see heavenly father, but i know i can talk to him. He listens to me.
Tapos, we taught Mary Fae this week. She also felt the spirit in the lesson. After the lesson she said, "i always feel different when you guys come. I feel the room is different". She is also very receptive to the spritz. She has a baptismal date, but has not came to church yet.
Two elders from our ward are leaving on missions! They are going to Davo! The ward some how found out my first name and that i dance. Now when they see me they always will do a little ballet dance for me. They want me to teach dance to the primary. But, President said that it is bawal for this mission. Sayang.
The area is starting to know me everywhere. All the little children yell at me every day, hello sister Reed!! They all run up to me and want to shake hands. A little boy, justin, will run up to me and hold my hand as we walk down the riles of Darasa. he is so cute. When they are old enough, they will all be wonderful investigators.
I am so grateful to be given hard assignmetns from President. I am growing and feeling ever so close to my Heavenly Father. I know that we are His children and that he always has a plan for each one of us.
Mahal na mahal kita! Walang hangang na mahal :)

He is there
Pamilya!
Well...this week was quite the challenge. SO many of our appointments and investigators punted us! Means, they were gone when we were supposed to have an appointment. We are trying hard to work with are members, but is not successful yet...I was thinking one day, in normal life, are we so busy that we dont have time for the Lord? How do i use my time? In 2Nephi 31:20-21 it says once we recieve these things (the gospel), is all things done? I would say unto you nay. I know that we must apply and then re apply all doctrine of Christ. We must endure to the end which means keeping our baptisimal covenant which means we are missionaries of the lord, building this kingdom of earth, having faith, and repenting every day.
Sister Eva Garcia came to church yesterday with her children. Yay! Her husband does not believe in God. I think that the TRUE gospel can change him :)
This week Sister Andre got baptized! She is a part member family and is a young women. She has such a sweet spirit.
In the pic is the Rona pamilya children. They are cute, they are always so excited when the missionaries come and want to hear a "story".
When we were talking to one of our investigators, Marco (ps he looks like a philipino version of peter pan) we asked him why his family was so important. He said, Wihtout family, there is no story. I haev never heard that response. Itis like without your family there is no you. We are each an important part of our family.
I know that no one is beyond the redemptive power of the savior. I know that Jesucristo resurrection broke what to that point had been the unyielding chains of death. He literally opened the path whereby each of heavenly fathers children would have the opportunity to rise from death and live again. I know that our father is always here for us he is close. DandC 68:6. His desire for us is to come unto him.
I am so grateful for the opportunity to grow closer and closer to my savior.
Mahal Kita!

Araw ng Masaya :)
Hello po!
This week was wonderful! I saw many miracles as we followed the spirit. First of all, we had the baptism of Sister Lutgarda Espiritu! It was by the spirit we found her. It was a miracle. Her baptism is such a blessing for us. She was so excited! And I was too! The 4 of us sisters sang a Tagalog hymno for her. She is so humble and cried as she felt the spirit. I know that she is the reason why I was sent to Darasa. To find the at the right time in her life, and give her a portion of the spirit. She loves the Aklat ni Mormon and says, "I feel sad when i read this book. The people are not obedient. I cry when i read it. Becuase I feel the spirit. I know these things really happened. I know this book is true". She is one prepared for us to hear the message, to repent and come unto Him. Her daughter is so happy that she was baptized. And now, she is excited to do her husbands temple work in the temple!
We have a new focus on our mission from our President to work with the members. That our success will come from the members. In helping them fulfill their responsibility as a member of the true church.
We were looking for an old investigator in the area book. Brother Armondo and Sister Nikita. When we found brother Armando, all the children were following us and talking with us. They were excited to see an American and see what we would say. There was about 16 people in that lesson. We taught the restoration. I love teaching to children. So simple and so beautiful. Truths of the gospel are so simple that a child can be converted just as a 65 yr old with so much knowledge can as well. We helped sister Nikita to know how to find out an answer if the church was true. We can back the next day and she said, I felt a spark! I felt a spark! I have an answer! I explained to her that the spark was the Holy Ghost, Her face was lit with so much joy!
We are teaching the Rona pamilya! THey all came to church on sunday! All 5 of them! They are not married yet, but they all have a desire to be baptized. We had family home evening with them. Our church is centered on families so they felt comfortable there. They are progressing and hopefully they continue in their progression. I love teaching there family bc all the little children love to answer their questions. They are so humble and recognize us as servants of the Lord.
Alam ko po na ito simbahan ay totoo. Nothing will stop to the work from progressing. Unitl the Great Jehova shall say, the work is done.
Mahal ko kayo!
